  16. The 20th Eastern VHF/UHF Society Conference will be held August 26
  17. to 28 at the Quality Inn and Conference Center in Vernon,
  18. Connecticut.
  19.  
  20. A hospitality room opens at 4 PM Friday the 26th; registration and
  21. formal talks and demonstrations take place on Saturday, followed by
  22. door prize drawings, pre-amp noise figure measuring, and an evening
  23. banquet. Sunday events include a swap meet and antenna measuring,
  24. beginning at 8 AM.

  26. Talks already scheduled include: Paul Wade, N1BWT, parabolic dish
  27. design; Jeff Klein, WA2TEO, VHF contesting strategies and results;
  28. Larry Filby, K1LPS, low-cost 10 GHz wideband FM gear; Peter Traneus
  29. Anderson, KC1HR, digital receiver design; David Upton, WB1CMG,
  30. practical solid state amplifier design; and Emil Pocock, W3EP, QST
  31. VHF columnist.

  33. Proceedings of the conference will be published jointly by the
  34. society and the ARRL.
